Due to an illness, our scheduled demonstrator was unable to make the meeting. Reveille Kennedy, our Program Chair stepped up to the plate and did a demonstration!
Rev painted a bowl of peppers. She then went home and painted it again, twice! Here are your paintings:
The three stages. The above image is from her demonstration.
Here Rev enhanced her painting adding more depth and the stems of the peppers.
Here third painting, which she said felt was too tight.
Rev’s Statement:
For some reason, I never felt like this painting was finished, so I added and deepen the values. And then I still never felt like it was finished so I changed the background and the foreground. I really love the simplicity and the nuances of the original painting.
Sometimes you can go too far! What do you think?
I donated the payment I would have received to the treasury, which will be used in case someone who can’t afford to join, way to become a member. I’m also donating the money I received from a sale j of a painting to the Beaulah fire victims.
Thank you Reveille!
