Seth Golden spoke at our October meeting, and did you know that Golden Paints started at the height of the Depression in the 1930s? Sam Golden joined his uncle Leonard Bocour as a partner in Bocour Artist Colors. Between 1946 and 1949 they developed the first artist acrylic paint! And as they say, the rest was history!
It was fascinating to learn the history of Golden Paints and how they grew and expanded over the years. In 2014 Golden Artists Colors introduced QoR, a new line of watercolors that offers artists color strength, range, and versatility, and the colors are vibrant!
Seth demonstrated a few products and we all got a little packet that included two small bottles of Golden Fluid Acrylic paints,
a small box with the 3 primary colors of QoR watercolor paints, and four small sample boards of their grounds.
Everyone had fun using the QoR watercolors to paint color wheels.
