Paula’s Bio:
Paula loves to paint but will do as much as possible without a brush. Whether it be watercolor, inks or acrylics she will put every tool to the test, including credit cards, sponges, string, plastic wrap, sheet rock tape, and even the screen off old screen door.
Her paintings are inspired by her home in Monument, Colorado with mountain views, forest, and a garden full of flowers for her bees.

Paula’s Awards:
Palmer Lake Art Group Sponsors Choice 2023,
Academy Arts & Frames Small Art award 2024

Paula’s favorite things to paint:
Loose trees, forests, landscapes, flowers
Paula enjoys working in watercolor, alcohol inks, and acrylic inks.

Paula’s favorite or most admired artists:
Stephen Quiller, Karen Standridge, Pamela Harnois
Paula’s goals for the next year:
Branching out into inks more, both alcohol and acrylic, staying with the trees, forests, landscapes and flower themes.

Paula’s Watercolor Tip:
• If it’s not working out, just stop and turn the paper over
• Put a trace of turquoise in every painting
• For loose paintings, use loose brushes. Daggers are the best.

FAVORITE ARTSY QUOTE
“Once Picasso was asked what his paintings meant. He said “Do you ever know what the birds are singing? You don’t. But you listen to them anyway”. So, sometimes with art, it is important just to look.”
– Marina Abramovic
