Meet Mary Piché!
Mary is one of PPWS’ Featured Artists for February 2024!
Mary has been a member of PPWS since 2006 and became a Signature Member in 2009. She is also a Signature Member of the Colorado Watercolor Society.
Mary’s Bio:
After years of exploring other mediums from wearable fabric art to Raku pottery, I tried a few classes in watercolor. I was hooked. I still enjoy the challenge of the medium and the lovely glow only watercolor can achieve.
Mary’s favorite things to paint:
Painting colorful abstracts in watercolor or acrylic on paper or canvas depending on my mood or inspiration.
Mary’s favorite or most admired artist:
Some of my favorite abstract artists are Mark Rothko and Elaine Daily-Birnbaum, Portrait artist would be Ted Nutall. Landscape artist would be our home town Martha Mans.
Mary’s goals for the next year:
My 2024 goal is to continue my quest for gallery exposure and paint paint paint.”
