Meet Kathleen Maher!
Kathleen is one of PPWS’ Featured Artists for March 2026!
Kathleen joined PPWS years ago, when meetings were held at Cottonwood center for the arts. She rejoined in 2024 and is an Associate Member.
Kathleen’s Favorite Things to Paint:
My favorite thing to paint is flowers. I love painting big bold flowers on half sheet 300 pound watercolor paper. I also enjoy painting loose flowers and sometimes use ink to accentuate the shape. Flowers are beautiful and they’re so many different ones to paint!
Kathleen also enjoys art journaling, using mixed media.
Kathleen’s Favorite Artist:
I admire Mary Cassatt for following her dream, even though the male established artists made it difficult for her to accepted as a true artist. I love her use of white and pale pinks.

Is to attend a watercolor workshop in Europe, and of course to continue improving my skills.
