Meet Dina Isakau!
Dina is one of PPWS’ Featured Artists for the month of December 2023!
Dina is one of our new members who joined PPWS in September 2023. She is thrilled to be a part of our wonderful group of talented, creative, and supportive individuals.
Dina’s Bio:
Born in Eastern Europe into a family of architects and singers, Dina moved to the USA at age 19.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and has spent 13 years studying at various art schools.
With 35 years dedicated to art-making, Dina has worked with diverse media, including oil painting, sculpture, ceramics, and wood carving.
Dina’s favorite things to paint:
“My greatest artistic liberation comes through watercolors, with a focus on painting nature. My art aims to showcase the mesmerizing beauty and depth of nature, transporting the viewer into its realm. I enjoy playing with contrasts in my work, such as light and dark, gentle and rough, pink and gray, striving to find a balance between opposites.”
Dina’s favorite or most admired artists:
Vrubel, Shishkin and Monet. Dina also appreciates movements like Tonalism, Renaissance, and Classicism.
Dina’s goals for the next year:
- Influencing more people to appreciate the unspeakable beauty surrounding them.
- Continuing my deep study of watercolor, further sharpening my skills and mastery.
- Persisting in painting with joy and embracing love in my creative process.
